Yesterday I was chatting with an Aboriginal woman who was telling me how upset she was with a comment from a chap sometime earlier who had said, “No way. You’re not an Aborigine. You are too white.”

After telling him she would return with her boomerang and spear made from her family tree, she walked away disgusted.

She told us this.

A cup of coffee is said to be black if no milk is added. Add a little and it becomes slightly less black. Continue adding milk until it is really very white. “Is it not still a cup of coffee?” she asked.
